What makes our puppies special?

I have spent a vast portion of my veterinary medicine career in biomedical research and I enjoy learning about ways to create strong athletes that are engaged with a balanced temperament. I use programs such as Avidog and Puppy Culture to guide our puppy rearing. We also include bird and water introduction when feasible with weather. These programs are intended to offer puppies new experiences through comprehensive and organized curriculum. There are emotional and neurological benefits that is proven with research.

Our adult breeding dogs, in addition to standard health tests have full health examinations with bloodwork at our veterinarian to ensure that our parents have good health prior to breeding. Prior to pups going home, they will have an examination by a licensed veterinarian, proper inoculations , fecal exam, deworming, Revolution flea, tick, and heart worm for 1 month, microchipped, trupanion 30 day insurance, and Registered with limited AKC and NAVHDA. Puppies will go home with a special go home bag. Puppies will have tails docked and declaws removed.

We are thrilled to announce our pending Breeder's Award with NAVHDA Natural Ability!

Enrichment and Socialization

At Sanguine Moon, we believe firmly in hunting and working dogs. We raise our pups in the home along side the family. They are familiar with the typical sounds in the house such as vacuum, children, and other dogs. Pups are exposed to water, various noises, textures, and game birds. Obedience, crate, and potty training are also started. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduction to birds, exposure to agility tunnel, wobble board and other novel items, early scent stimulation from days 3-16, conformation stacking and nail trimming, start of puppy recall with treats, Leash Training, Temperament imprinting Evaluation , Puppy Culture , Avidog, Texture stimulation, Outdoors, e.g. rain, car riding , Noise desensitized , crate training, Fireworks , Various Surfaces , Noises , Scents, Strangers, Stores, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Chew, e.g. Bone, Toys, e.g. Ball, Grooming Desensitization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Touch Desensitization, Socialized with Elderly, Household Desensitization, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, Human Interactions, Sound Stimulation, Potty Training, Recall Training, Bird Introduction, Scent Introduction, Biosensor Training, Sit Command, Clicker Training, Crate Training, "No" Biting or Chewing, Leash Walking.

Puppies should be seen by the new primary veterinarian within 3 business days after pick up to validate health guarantee. A copy of the vet visit must be emailed to Sanguine Moon to validate.

How To Get A Puppy

If you're interested in a puppy from Sanguine Moon Kennel, please apply. You'll be asked to provide information about yourself and what you are looking for so the breeder can help you find the right match. Once you apply, Bethany will get back to you about availability, pricing and next steps.

Puppies go home between 8-9 weeks. This is dependent on when puppies are vaccinated. We like to keep the puppies a few days after the vaccination to ensure there are no allergic reactions or health concerns post vaccination.

All puppies are priced the same. We do not increase prices for colors or genders. Our program highlights liver GSPs and do not intend on offering black variations in our program.

*Black colorations are now recognized by the AKC, however we have decided we are focusing on liver coloration.
